SocialBakers is what we’d recommend to those who are looking for just a quick and simple tool for finding Instagram influencers. It’s what some might consider a freemium tool as it offers both FREE tools and priced tools (the access to which can cost up to $200 per month, billed annually or $240 per month, billed monthly.) Fortunately, its Instagram influencer search tool is offered for FREE. The only caveat is that it is on a strictly trial basis and will require that you sign up and wait for approval before you’ll be able to use it to the fullest -- more on that shown in the step by step tutorial below.
In order to connect you with the right Instagram influencer for your brand, the first thing that SocialBakers will request from you is a region and an interest.
After choosing your region and your interest, it’s time to click the Find Influencers button and begin the application process. This will require that you input information about you and your company -- as is shown in the next step.
For this next step, you will need to submit a form that asks for your Name, Work Email, Phone Number, and Company name. This is just the preliminary phase, one that will allow you to see their free influencer search tool. So, don’t worry, just click Submit and go.
If all you want to know are who are the top influencers in your region and your niche, then Social bakers will show you the first three entirely for free. You can make use of this preview as you’d like. However, if you want to learn more...
If you want to see more results and pick from a variety of different Instagram influencers in your region, then you will need to request a demo. This is on a strict application basis, so make sure that you have all your details turned in before proceeding.
Tip: You can request a demo by scrolling down to find the Request a Demo button.
You will also need to Request a Demo if you want to see the stats of the influencers on the preview -- these will show their social profile, highlight keywords, most used hashtags, etc.
If you want to try the search engine tool out for yourself before deciding whether it is the one for you, go to the URL linked below. If not, then we have a couple of other methods and tools to suggest for you.
For this next method, we’re going to go old school by teaching you the merits of having a personal Instagram account for your brand. See, when you do this, influencers or people who are interested in your products will start to follow you.) Of course, when you start, you’re likely only to reach micro-influencers (influencers with smaller audiences.) However, as you scale up your product/service, so should your account, and you’ll find that it’ll be much easier to do the method that we’re going to be introducing you to below.
For this to work, you will need to either have an Instagram account already set up or you will need to create one. Either way, once you’ve built your Instagram account up enough, you can begin outreaching to the people that follow you and thus the people that follow them.
First, you need to search your own followers. These are people that are already interested in the services that your brand offers -- which is a great characteristic in an influencer. Now, there are tools that can help you do this -- allowing you to categorize your followers based on their own reach (active followers, number of followers, etc.) However, if you’re just starting out. This is your opportunity to go through your list manually and get to know the influencers with your web of reach. This is not only a great way of finding an influencer to market your brand but also a smart way to get to know what the people in your industry are looking for.
If looking through your own followers is not immediately available, then you can always try Instagram’s Hashtag system. It already has a pretty solid way of separating the influencers with the most reach by putting their posts under Top Posts. Look through who’s on top in Hashtags of relevance to your brand. Even if you only did this once a day for the next week? You will be able to build a solid list of the top influencers on keywords that are most relevant to your product or service.
Another convenient way of finding Instagram influencers relevant to you is going through the “Suggested Accounts.” On there, you can scroll through a bunch of Instagram users that are relevant to the account you are viewing.
Once you’ve found the Instagram influencer for you, there’s always the DMs. Though be warned, you might not be able to reach them very efficiently this way (especially if they’re the type to be spammed by their audience.)
For the next portion of this article, we’re going to breeze through a couple of other helpful tools that you can use in other to find Instagram influencers that can help boost the sales of your product or service. Some of these are paid, and some of them are FREE. Now, of course, just because they can be used for the same purpose, doesn’t necessarily mean that they will all be the same. Others will be easier to use, others will have a larger range as far as influencers go, and etc. But we’ll be introducing the basics of each program so that you can decide which of these tools you might want to try out in the end.
The Instagram influencer search tool that we’d most recommend for you is Upfluence. They have a database filled with over 1 million different influencers, which they keep regularly updated with unique algorithms that allows them to scour all the popular social media websites (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Blogs, Facebook, and Pinterest) for influencers in all sorts of niches. As far as tools go, it offers influencer search based on keyword, filters, audience analytics (available only for Instagram), and even an influencer manager system. All in all, there’s not much that it doesn’t offer. The only catch is the price. It is one of the most expensive options on this list - with its plans starting at around $795 per month and up.
URL: https://influencers.heepsy.com/
Heepsy is an Instagram influencer tool that offers over 2 million people in its database -- bigger than Upfluence but limited strictly to one social media platform -- Instagram. The best thing about it would have to be its price. It’s FREE for the most part, although you can pay extra a month in order to turn on location search (which can help narrow your list fairly easily.) As for its tools, you can use Heepsy with its filters, niche search, and (as mentioned) location search. It’s best used by small companies who don’t mind putting in a little bit more work and are okay with the narrowed search value.
URL: https://peg.co
For our next influencer search tool, we have Peg. This is a platform that is offered for both YouTube an Instagram. It’s not necessarily one of the most well-known, but it does host a fairly large number of companies all over the globe. With this, you can search for Instagram and YouTube influencers, track and analyze their audience, and manage your influencer marketing campaigns to ensure that all of your deals are kept organized and in shape.

For our next influencer search tool, we have Hype Auditor. This is great for finding Instagram influencers according to the active engagement that their account has and ranks them for the quality of that engagement with algorithms built to differentiate between fake and authentic activity. It offers the regular search engine and a tool that provides you a list of all the top 1000 influencers based on their niches -- a helpful little add-on that not many other influencer tools offer.
URL: https://www.trendkite.com
For the last tool on our list, we have TrendKite. They offer a very large database from a variety of different social networks. You also get the usual keyword search tool, filters (one of which is based on location), audience analytics, and a way of directly contacting said influencer without having to go through hoops through Instagram DMs or anything of the like.
Conclusion:
There are tons, and I do mean tons, of different ways that you can go about finding Instagram influencers for your business. You can go about it manually like we showed you in part two of the article, or you can try out a tool like SocialBakers. In the end, the one we’d most recommend is a tool -- and it needn’t be SocialBakers. As we showed you in the very last portion of this article, there are other available tools out there. Each unique in their own ways, but suited for the same thing, nonetheless.
