Unfortunately, there isn’t just one tool for all social media markets out there. Instead, we’re going to introduce you to five completely unique tools that you can use in order to analyze key influencers in your niche! Continue reading if you want to learn more.
The first social network that we’re going to be deep diving into is YouTube. YouTube is one of the most active social media platforms out there, and video marketing has never been hotter. Nowadays, people are more likely to watch a video on how to do something rather than spend time reading about it, and YouTube is the platform to do that! Which is why it is important that it is considered when thinking of starting up influencer marketing campaigns.
Fortunately, InflueNex, the tool that we’re going to be introducing below, offers a great search engine for marketers looking to discover new influencers and read up on their analytics! If you want to see how that is done, check out our step by step below.
We described InflueNex as a search engine, and that’s exactly what it is! If you go to the website that hosts the tool (linked below), the first thing you’ll see is a search bar and some filters. These are tools that you can use in order to locate the influencer that you want to analyze. To start:
After you’ve selected a YouTuber from the results pulled up by InflueNex, you should then be able to view their Stats and Analytics Dashboard. The first module provided will have the Youtuber’s information (join date, location, language, ranking, etc.)
The second will show their general ranks, views, total posts, engagement rates, subscribers/views, and their price range. Scroll down if you want to see more.
The next module of interest is the Channel Performance module. This will have the YouTuber’s last 20 videos range in a convenient views bar graph with the line across the middle representing their average views. You can also see their highest views, lowest views, average likes per post, average comments per post, etc.
The last module of interest is the YouTube Growth Tendency module. The line graphs provided are controllable (you can look back on data from the last month, the last couple of months, the last couple of years, etc.)
These are just some of the insights that InflueNex can provide you! So, if you want to learn more, make sure to check it out for yourself from the link we provided above.
For this next tool, we have Heepsy. It’s a cross-platform tool (primarily made for Instagram), but it does also offer a way of connecting to and analyzing Facebook influencers! As a matter of fact, Facebook influencers are one of the hardest to connect with these days -- even if Facebook was considered the biggest social media platform for networking.
With Heepsy, however, that process is made simpler. All you need to do is sign up for an account and you can start searching -- although, unlike InflueNex it is not FREE. You will need to pay the premium price if you want to use it to look up Facebook influencers.
As mentioned, you will need to start an account with Heepsy if you want to use it for analyzing influencers. To do that, select the Create FREE Account button available at the front of their website.
Next, you need to fill in the form that they provide in order to start. Worry not, no billing information will be required. Just your name, email address, etc.
Heepsy functions like most search engines do. You have a search bar, and then you have filters. If you want to limit your search to only Facebook Influencers, then you need to select the Facebook filter. Doing that should allow you to pull up results only on influencers on Facebook.
Although it should be noted, that this feature is locked and available only for Premium members.
Much like with InflueNex, once you click on an influencer, you should be able to see a dashboard with their analytic information. However, much like with the filters from the previous step, these analytics are restricted and available only for premium members. So, if you want to use Heepsy for that purpose, then you will need to pay up first.
Next up on our list is an Instagram influencer analytics tool called Social Bakers. Now, much like Heepsy, this is a paid tool. So, there is no way of using it properly unless you pay for one of its premium subscription plans. However, it does do a pretty good job at not only looking for influencers but also cutting back the ‘fat’ so to speak and focusing only on the influencers that matter -- influencers with larger followings and higher engagement rates. Now, if you want to learn more about how you can use this tool to perform an analysis on Instagram influencers? Continue reading.
To start using Social Bakers, you will need to Select a Region and Select an Interest. This is what Social Bakers will be basing their search results off of. So, if you happen to be living in another country but want to find influencers in America, then make sure you select the US for your region of choice.
After selecting your Region and Interest of choice, click the Find Influencers button to move forward.
Before getting access to the tool, Social Bakers will require that you fill in some information. This includes your name, work email, phone number, and company name. Do so, and then click the Submit Button to move forward.
After filling in the required information, you’ll get a sense of what the tool is like with the preview search results (which will include only three influencers on search.)
If you want to see more than three influencers, scroll down and then select the Request a Demo button. This will require that you fill in more information than the last, and you can trust that Social Bakers will be looking into your business/brand.
To actually be able to use Social Bakers to see Influencer stats, a Demo is also required. That is why, even if you were to select one of the influencers in the limited preview, you will only see this (shown below.) However, you can trust that it can work.
Next up, for those marketers who are interested in doing some Twitter Influencer Analysis, is Followerwonk. This is a little closer to InflueNex, in that it will allow you to use some of its features for FREE. However, the FREE version is not really meant to be used heavily for stats or analytics. So, if you want to access those, then you’ll need to pay or request for a demo (just like with Heepsy and Social Bakers.)
To start using follower wonk for Twitter analytics, you must first find a Twitter influencer that you want to look into. You can do this by selecting the Search Bios tab on the top menu bar. (Notice that there are also tabs for Compare Users, Analyze, Track Followers, and Sort Followers.)
To start using Followerwonk, enter keywords or a username. You can also specify whether you want to search based on their profiles or any other specific feature.
If you click the More Options button below the search bar, a couple of more potential ways of narrowing your search will be available, including narrowing down your results based on location, name, URL link, and minimum/maximum number of followings, followers and tweets.
When you’re ready to start searching, click the orange Do It button to begin! It shouldn’t take long before Followerwonk pulls up a list of influencers relevant to your chosen search parameters.
As mentioned, a search result should pull up and from there you’ll be able to see the basic stats of the influencers in question (on the right-hand side of the interface.) Now, if you want to take this further, all you need to do is go to the Analyze tab at the top of the interface.
However, as we mentioned previously, you will need to sign up for one of Followerwonk’s premium plans if you want to get that more advanced feature.
The last little bit of information that we can offer you is a way of performing LinkedIn influencer analysis. Now, for this, we have just one recommendation and that is LinkedIn Influencers. It’s something that was set up by the makers of LinkedIn themselves, and something that only a select few are able to access. However, if you are a part of this select few. You can expect a lot of deep insights on the influencers that you want to offer a spot on your campaign.
If you want to be a part of the LinkedIn Influencers initiative, then you’ve got to make your name known on the platform. It is something that is carefully curated and thus constantly updated. So, whilst you might not be on it the first couple of months or even years, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
Influencer marketing needn’t be complicated! Sure, you can wrangle up a lot of these insights yourself, but it takes serious work! These tools exist for a reason, and there is no harm in trying them out. That is especially true for InflueNex which, unlike some of the others we’ve mentioned, offers instant access to a YouTuber creator’s analytics. Check it out for yourself, as we said. It’s different to see it all up close, but there is no denying that these kinds of insights will allow you to more easily make decisions when it comes to your business marketing campaigns on social media. So, try it out today and see how it can impact your brand.
