As mentioned, we’re going to be introducing you to InflueNex, first and foremost. It is primarily a YouTuber search engine (allowing you to discover creators in the industry easily through keyword search and advanced filters.) But it also doubles as a method of judging the social media presence of an influencer, through aggregated insights and detailed analytics! In order to see a YouTuber’s analytics with InflueNex, you will have to search for them first. If you already have a YouTuber in mind, then all you need to do is enter their name on the search bar and click on the Search Button. If not, then you can use that same search bar and the advanced filters provided in order to discover influencers that you can potentially reach out to!
When you use InflueNex to search for a YouTuber, a bunch of results will be made readily available. You can sort this list to make it easier to find influencers of interest. Sort with InflueNex Score to organize the influencers on the list based on InflueNex’s own letterform rankings.
All you have to do next is to select the influencer that interests you, and then you should be able to view their stats and analytics! Again, an InflueNex Score is provided – which is a ranking that was specially curated by InflueNex’s complex algorithms. As promised, we’re going to be introducing you to a couple of other tools that you can use in order to judge the merits of a social media influencer. For this, we’ve compiled a variety of different tools that covers different social media platforms, offer unique pricing (both on the higher and the lower end), and provide different search/analytic features. No matter what, however, you should be able to use one of these in order to see the overall performance of a social media influencer. Be it in detail, or in an aggregated score.
For our first recommended tool on this list, we have Kred. It’s a PAID tool, so you will need to cough up some cash in order to use it. However, it offers a variety of premium tools that more than makes up for the cost. A couple of those tools include the ability the search for influencers, manage social network accounts, and organize influencer marketing campaigns. The most important feature, however, is the fact that it provides detailed insights on audience engagement -- going as far as to rank influencers on a ‘leaderboard,’ which is something that not many other programs have the complex algorithms to do.
For our next recommended tool, we have Buzzsumo. Much like Kred, we recommend it for its ability to provide detailed insights on influencers and the content in which they create or share. It used to be a free tool, but it is now considered freemium (as some of its more advanced features can only be unlocked when you pay for one of their plans.) Most importantly, however, it can be used in order to discover and analyze influencers on Twitter, Facebook, and blogs.
Next up we have HypeAuditor. It’s fairly new in the game, but it does offer some groundbreaking tools that will allow you to break into the Instagram audience. Much like most influencer tools, it starts out somewhat of a search engine, but not in the way we described InflueNex to be. Instead, it takes the cold hard numbers from a variety of different sources (and platforms) and consolidates them all into one long list of influencers (1000 in all), ranked based on their performance, percentage of engagement, and more.
Our next pick, Upfluence is definitely on the higher end as far as available premium tools go. However, that rings through for its pricing plans as well (which is why it ended up slightly lower on this particular list.) Most importantly, however, this tool will allow you to see real-time statistics for influencers on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. It’s what you might call an all-rounder. Its database is fairly small, but it is regularly updated and curated in order to provide the most value as possible.
Heepsy is another tool that can be used in order to monitor the engagements and ‘social score’ of certain influencers. It’s not as fancy as a tool like Upfluence, but it is far cheaper. Currently, its database is 2 million strong, and it can be used in order to discover influencers through advanced filters and keyword search (like we previewed with InflueNex.) Again, it is cheaper, with its most basic plan starting at just under ten dollars, and actually fairly perfect for a smaller business looking to break into Twitter or Instagram.
Not as popular as all the other tools we’ve introduced so far, nevertheless, Traackr is still pretty helpful when it comes to ‘tracking’ influencers to collaborate with. Of course, this comes with the added bonus of seeing how they’re doing as far as engagement wise, but it should be said that its primary purpose is to manage social media influencer campaigns.
Famebit has a unique background, it actually started out more as a platform for influencers. However, things have since changed and it is now a way for businesses to connect with the influencers in their database. What’s great about it is the fact that you can be assured that these influencers are available and ready for collaborating with a brand. All relevant information will also be provided on how the influencers rank when compared to one another - which is something businesses can surely appreciate when trying to evaluate influencers for their marketing campaigns.
FollowerWonk is our second to last recommended tool. However, that doesn’t change the fact that it does pretty good on its own! It’s primarily a Twitter influencer search engine. But it does have the ability to sort and rank influencers based on their number of active engagements. Now, of course, because it is a FREE tool, it’s not going to be the most sophisticated way of finding or ranking influencers. However, it can get the job done just fine when you want it to.
BuzzStream is our last recommended tool, and it’s a software that focuses primarily on influencers that run blogs (although it does offer a feature for listing blogger’s social media accounts as well.) What’s great about it is the fact that it is pretty cheap (perfect for smaller companies), and it can be used both as a search engine - for finding influencers, and as a data analytics tool. With this, you’ll be able to track the blogger’s current reach and how they’re doing as far as overall channel performance goes.
There are tons of different tools available now that can help you evaluate a social media influencer!
